It may be of interest that the 10knot limit is relaxed in the Wareham Channel between 1st October and 31st March as per the website below from PHC.

I was out this March this year when we had a few lovely days - saw a racer scream down the main channel must have been doing close to 70 nts! Trouble is he didn't slow down for the harbour mouth (speed limit still applies) and the Harbour Master clocked him!

Went down there this evening to scout it out & it looks pretty decent! Think ill go down with the boat & practice some reversing when its quite The costs confused me a little though!

6am-midnight = £10
&
2:30pm-midnight = £8.50.

So does that mean if you launch before 2:30pm its £10?

Another thing does anybody know the times that the guy who you have to pay is down there? or is it just pay & display?

If you launch before 2:30 it is £10, after that £8.50
You can pay and display, there is a change machine on site which is not always operational if you don't have the cash or you can pay by mobile phone and credit/debit card.
The man in the hut seems to only be there to collect harbour dues. Mostly from jetskis. Not sure when he is there but usually at weekends in th summer from 9-5 I think.
He's never even spoken to me and I've launched a RIB there a number of times this year.

He's there to deal with PWC permits. The harbour dues are in with your park/launch fee.

Ahh thanks! So the £10 or £8.50 you pay for by pay & display?

I think that's just parking. I pay 12 quid to launch and park all day. You can also get an annual permit for 150 quid that covers parking and launching all year...

I've a link some where..

Luke if you want to try an sr4 sometime I now have one you are welcome to try.

Thats not too bad even if its £12. Swanage is £12 if your local & theres no parking plus the slipways terrible!

Ive seen the photos...looks smart! My boats broken at the minute so cant sell it! Going to wait til end of next season before i decide now
