Stuart, whilst your sorting out the fuel supply why not add a decent fuel filter if you haven't already got one.

And make sure the little arrow is pointing the right direction. Please don't ask how I know about this...

Yes sorted out a filter, and hopefully flow direction is correct, thanks for info on where to fit bulb pump
All cables pipes and control cables out of out board, trying to keep neat, but you dont want to be unbolting covers if things go wrong at sea,any body else had this problem

I've just done the exact same thing on my 4n'a bit meter RIB, - Am going to install a Yamaha see-thru-bowl type filter under the splash well and have the pump/bulb outside by the engine. My dealer is going to do it as they did said they would fit one and include all the bits for less than you can buy them on ebay! - about £60.

Just out of interest did you fit a fuel filler in the side of your console? or will you just fill it up by lifting the seat?

fuel filter

Extened jockey seat by about 12 inches so fuel filter fits directly under this extension ,petrol tank ends then isolation tap then filter just a cheap in line car filter with a piece of plastic tube over it for protection, then will run fuel pipe about 26 inches then fuel pump bulb by the engine no water sperator so far ps are you concerned about water coming over the transite and covering the pump bulb,do you always take your rib on the sea, after all these mods would like a lake to try it on,will ask the queston as a new thread would like to find which is the best of the lakes in the lake district for this purpose Stuart
