Where do you advertise your boat for sale

Bit of a novice at selling boats and would appreciate some advice from all of you experienced boat sellers out there.
I've been converted to the Rib culture, fixed up an old Searider but now want to go bigger, faster and no doubt more expensive. Trouble is I've got a hard boat I need to sell before I can get the bigger rib.
So having watched the B&O issues recently and frankly pretty much given up ever getting my own advert onto the site, I thought I'd try elsewhere.

Where else have you been succesful in selling boats?
Other web sites, local rags, let me know wheres been good for you

thanks
Steve

In fairness to B+O it has a very good success rate if you keep trying!!!

Another great way is the Free ads type paper.

Advertising it here would be a good start!

Tried boats and outboards and although I had a few 4-5 enquiries nothing solid. In the end I used rib-shop to act as a broker and they sold it easily. Nice smooth transaction, money was available the next day! No hassle, all paperwork done. I have used them for servicing and a re-fit of all the electronics on my new rib and they have been superb. Can't recommend highly enough.

Must say that I have no other connection with them other than a satisfied customer. (They also sell a cleaning product which is superb)

Also tried rib.net but didn't get any joy - although it is a superb site of course 8-)

All the memebers look here , but maybe not for a hard boat .

B&O is the best IMO sold mine ok , but put a decent photo on there as i think non photo ads get ignored .

I have also had success on ebay if you have the bottle to start with low or even no reserve and what you are selling is popular .

John,
will do but haven't seen any other hard boats in the For Sale section so didn't want to turn the site into a Boats for Sale - alcomers welcome, might even end up with some ragies trying to sell those yacht type things.

But thanks to all of you, have now managed to get it loaded onto B&O after a week of trying, two enquiries already. You never know I might yet get that 7.5 RIB with a 225 for the summer

Cheers

Steve

Sorry, I misread your original post and thought it was the Searider you were flogging!
