CPR - CPR - CPR - where did I say not to give CPR. we were talking AED's.
I was told from reliable source that AED's did not work on small craft and hence RNLI don't carry them on the boats. Good enough for RNLI good enough for me.

Good CPR and AED are needed for effective recovery from heart stop. old video clip so not current protocols:
you see the AED are water proof ish.
every minute not AED reduces chance of survival by 10%.
