What would a Boat Show have to offer for you to class it as good?

Good question! .......
I always used to think any boat show with good bargains, end of line or season item to be had was great, however I just don't see those sort of bargains much/at all anymore.
I also hate paying a fortune to get in! And most theses days are alot of money just to get in. Let alone if you think about buying a drink and a sarnie! But I think it seems to be the way of the world now!

I used to love the old Earls Court show back in the 80's - went every year with the old man and the place used to be heaving and buzzing with a great atmosphere. There were endless exhibitors from the smallest dinghy to the big yachts and large dedicated areas for windsurfing and waterskiing and other water sports. Went to Excel a few years back and the show was more a rich man's corporate event...
