You used to be able to buy a special blanking off kit from Avon in the early 1990's.
We made our own which basically consisted of a shaped bar that fitted in the front holes that was threaded each end. Into which we put bolts in with rubber and metal washers to make it water tight.
So they did up against one another.
In the stern we had a stainless plate with a normal drain bung fitted, this had a stainless bolt through it, which screwed into a threaded hole in a stainless bar behind, which went inside and was wider than the hole, so it just pinched the plate against the stern.

I dont know how clear that is but it can be done!!

boat is in having work done on tubes. currently making two aluminium fuel cans that will strap in between consoles for cruises - 40lites each. currently sorting two sets of trailer parts - new wheels and brake drums for on road, and making the backplates removable. had old wheels blasted and now gone for galvanising which will then be fitted to old drums for launching (boat stays on caravan site all season). need to repaint and sticker outboard - already welded the skeg. then give everything a good clean and polish.

Done...

Complete rewire incl new switches, distribution box and fuse panel.
New gauges and electronics (sonar,plotter and VHF).
Engines had new stats, pumps ( water and fuel) plugs and LU overhaul. (still waiting for one to be returned)
Replaced fuel lines, breather and new water separator.
Fuel Tank emptied, fuel sender and pickup hose replaced.
Deck console and transom been painted.
New upholstery and all stainless polished.

To be done...

Trailer to be overhauled and re galvanised.

I've thought long and hard about modifications or alterations on mine. Just can't think of any! So a bit boring really!

I guess at a push I will replace the rusty steel brake cable on the trailer with a stainless one. I might look at servicing the Hubs and brakes this year, but then I've said that for the last 6 years and haven't needed to.

Boat cover needs replacing, so I might be making something here!

Why not a flood gate, so you can choose if you want to fill your hull or not? There is at least one wakeboard boat using the concept.

It's a good idea, but maybe a bit expensive. I really just want to block it and forget about it. Whereas a drainmaster looks like it will require maintenance. But many thanks for your input.

They would but I sold the boat in 1996.

I was at a loose end yesterday so went for a scratch about in the local recycling centre, I managed to find two identical hoovers with hoses attached, a quick dig in to my pockets finds a knife and the hoses are both mine.

Poor picture quality but trust me they look a million times better than the straggle of wires.
