Even crocs are trying to make crocs look less like crocs!

No, and that's my point - it's not about being noticed or posing it's what is comfortable & practical. Whatever the "fashion" view is - and I don't really care about that - if I did I'd join the blazer clad wafi brigade- what I want from footwear on a rib is that
a) I has grip & decent wear
b) doesn't matter if it gets wet
c) gives an element of protection from stubbing my toes
d) doesn't get uncomfortable over time / gets lots of cr*p in it
e) doesn't let my feet get cold
Crocs tick all those boxes for me in summer (apart from the grip / wear) which I why I 've moved to a decent pair of trekking sandals as standard - although the Crocs do still come out on occasion.

Why have I suddenly got all emotive over Crocs????

Go for it! Why not get a couple of pairs in different colours!

I would like some with crystals on them!

If you did that you could wear a different colour on each foot - how about Red on the left,Green on the right to help with direction at sea
