what prop merc 50

its an electric start merc 50 2 stroke
i cant find anything stamped on the prop itself but has a sticker on the outboard just above with 12x22 1.83.1 whats a good prop for top speed

got my new steering teleflex heavy duty kit with steering wheel all delivered nextday for £107 just waiting for a nice day now to fit it thanx to all who helped with that post

10 3/8x14" should be what you're after if that's a (roughly) 10.5" diameter prop. Mine hit 44mph with that prop and a merc/mariner 50.

thanx Nos4r2 yes it is 101/4 approx diameter is the one you recommend quite a bit different to whats on there now as i have no idea on prop pitches ,what do the numbers on the sticker refer to
any suggestions where to get one fairly priced?

The numbers on your sticker are the gearcase reduction. If you look at the prop you'll find a long number that starts with 48. The last 2 digits of that will be the pitch.

Ebay's actually pretty good for cheap props-just get a standard Quicksilver one.
A 50 will push an sr4 so fast there's no point bothering with flash stainless props and so on-you'll never actually make the top speed for more than a couple of seconds before you have to back off. Even a small ripple will cause brown trouser moments

nice vid that looks absolutely nuts done a fleabay search but only getting them on us sites for bids .nothing on google either for UK purchase but will keep looking
