Storing my boat cover, charging my battery, storing rain water, reason to keep checking xc weather for a weather window and very occasionally getting out and having the best times ever 😄👍

Oh I forgot buying fuel and wallet lightening

Have never felt the need to own a RIB .. but ... if a SIB counts..

I use my wee blow up boats .... to burn the midnight oil

To relax .. enjoy myself .. and feel at peace with the world

Nothing more .. Nothing less.. is there anything Im missing ?

always intrigued me, is the food better on the island or is there nowhere else you can go for lunch by heading west or east rather than south?

Yup..I didnít think I was missing anything 9D280. A younger man than I... may say speed and excitement.. but when you reach the Promised Land ..those things mean little.

Im happy to linger longer and enjoy the twilight before it goes. My wallets quiet healthy too.. it costs me less than a fiver in fuel to camp under the stars at this spot for nothing. If Im lucky.. I eat a fresh fish for free .. If Im unlucky .. I eat the bait.

That is what I do with my SIB.. I would do the exact same with a RIB .. much the same as the rest of you.

For some..its a toy to enjoy..and for others..its a way of life..

Fishing, the odd lobster pot, tootling about, beaching for coffee and cakes, hopefully once the engine is running right this season it'll pull a wakeboard (am I being realistic? - it's an SR4 with a 2stroke 50hp) and a few longer tours to Robin Hood's Bay and the like. The boat is fine for two, it gets a little cosy when there's four on board, may move up to a larger size in 2016, but love my little boat for what it is.

Stopping for coffee and cake:

with the huge array of places to go on the West coast of Scotland we are kind of spoiled but I do enjoy a run to a distillery for some great food and of course a wee sample ( just a wee one I still have to helm back) of their special liquid to wash it down
