Much the same as many other posters

RYA Level 2 (Powerboat and Dinghy)
RYA Day Skipper
RYA Safety Boat Certificate

Of all of them, the Safety Boat ticket was the course I enjoyed the most. Spent a whole weekend blasting round the harbour learning to rescue people from different situations. By the end of the Sunday it'd picked up to Top End F6 gusting F8 and the two dinghies and the one windsurfer that we had out as our casualties were finding hard not to capsize. However all involved (including the dinghy crews) had a great weekend

None. Not required to have any.

Pleasure craft in the US are de facto licensed for a VHF, so that's covered as well. No requirements in my state for a mandatory safety or operations course (a few states do have such requirements); and I probably would have been grandfathered in without the course anyway.

S'funny you look like you might have had longer experience than that

Surely you must have been on a Sunglass and Sun creme selection course before you could go boating in the first pace.: cool:

Whilst I don't advocate training as such I do believe a theory test should be mandatory

Here it comes again, I don't stand a chance
