My Daughters wet suit Zip failed at the weekend.

The zipper slider separated from 1 side of the zipper.

TBH, unless it's a topline suit, its toast. It would cost more to replace the zip than the suit is worth. Look for a used quality suit for her on Ebay. Kids suits are pretty cheap.

Look for-
Xcel
Wesc.
C Skin
Ripcurl
O neall

In that order.

If there isnt an easy fix then Dennis of Predator does wetsuit repairs and is based in New Milton. Had top notch service from him in the past. However I imagine unless it's a very expensive wetsuit a repair is unlikely to be financially viable.

I doubt if Mrs Sew n Mend would appreciate the neoprene in her Singer Kern. A sailmaker or canvas maker might be worth a punt.

No big deal at all

You can find many videos on youtube of how to repair them.

If the zipper separated near the end that should stay closed:

I've done temp repairs by mating the zipper, and inserting a zip tie around the teeth to keep it from hitting the part where it separates. It takes punching/cutting holes in the fabric part of the zipper, but I know one guy still using his suit several years after I did that.

Fix n' Zip.

It's like $8 or so...just clamps on to the zipper.

Use a mend kit for neoprene which irons on, or use some Aquaseal. How YOU repair depends on how big the hole is.
