Nope, not had the pleasure But after 27 yrs of marriage & raising a daughter, I've managed to glean limited, but sufficient understanding of the inner workings of the female brain to know that tea & cake beats cold & lumpy any day of the week.

streets ahead of me PD, 30+ years for us n I've not a clue where to even look for the inner workings of the female brain, but I'd agree that tea n cake seems to be the answer to most problems, especially anything to do with ribs

Just spotted this thread and the references to the weather reminded me of being in there last summer. I took a screenshot of the forecast because I didn't think anyone would believe me considering the time of year. The location on the forecast is the closest weather station to Ballachulish where we moored for a night,we only stayed one night as the weather wasn't looking like getting much better
I bet it's not that much colder this time of year!

Summer 2015 was a swizz - the summer that never happened. I really hope this season is better. I know that the odds are identical, I'd just like a bit of nice weather....
