I camped on the garvallachs once years ago... I returned last your and the flys really did spoil it. Think they were some type of horse fly and miges!!

So is it un-orthodox to put the dive kit in for ERR ?? 😁😁😁

No do it they'll be time and if you don't you'll regret it.

Yeah, I usually get some for tea around lunga area.

Has Tobermory just taken over it ? You had to phone a guy for the number when I used it in May. Hopefully that will make it easier to use.

Excellent. It is handy having air there and even better some self service. I've not done the tapti and really want to get to that

Has the OP got a short list of possible camping spots yet ?

If you wait till mid summer I've had great dives on the Tapti with basking sharks in attendance. Always good seal action on that wreck.

Apparently its waiting for a part to be fitted ,,, this week or so. Kath gave me a phone number for the guy who currently owns it and is upgrading for THA to take it over. He's Steve Barlow on 07831 225425 and worth checking with hin in a couple of weeks.
If you speak to him tell him its Kathryn at Tobermory Post Office that gave you his details ;-)

In case you haven't got them
Tapti: N56 33.690 W6 37.859
Aurania: N56 36.140 W6 19.457
Thalia : N56 28.048 W5 31.118
Labrador: N56 17.467 W7 10.150

Have a great diving trip - we are up there next weeknd and expecting sun, flat calm and 18deg hahaha
