Weather stations

Any one know of any on line weather stations apart from www.chimet.co.uk and www.cambermet.co.uk, which give live weather/sea conditions?
I feel another post for the Ref section comming on.

Try this link to get directly to the weather buoys:-

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/United_Kingdom.shtml

The one I use for here is literally a couple of miles from the heads

Just dropping down now from a nice 5 metre swell

Thanks Guys

I have had a good look around and can not find many others that give sea state as well as wind speed/direction inshore.

Just had a look at the stats at Chi Bar for last saturday around the time the token and real Irish were playing. 2+m waves at 6-8 second period, 36, gusting 46kts. Would have been similar at Portsmouth entrance. Good call staying in the harbour!!!!!

I will keep looking for some more useful sites.

RIBase
Would anyone think it useful if I collected together all these weather websites and asked John to put them in the Reference Section of RIBnet?

Data from www.chimet.co.uk
Readings taken from the Chichester Bar Beacon. Sister site (www.cambermet.co.uk) is at the south end of Thorney Channel in Chi Harbour.
Chimet is now WAP enabled so you can check it on your mobile if you are rich enough!
Chimet us updated evry minute - gives wind speed & direction, max gust, tide height, wave height & period, atmospheric pressure, air & sea temp. Graphs all data for last 24 hrs as well. Also you can download archive data for any day as .csv file. Excelent site, hats off to Chichester Harbour Conservency.

Brian
That is what I had in mind originally. Would go well with other topics.
