Wanted Avon Searider A frame

Does anyone have an original Searider A frame for my old 5.4 which I'm restoring - you know the kind with the self righting gear. I'm willing to travel for it. Cash awaits.

Agree, it keeps coming back.

Only other people to try are babcocks disposals in Southampton, although I know for a fact they haven't got any in at the moment, as I'm after one.

Their prices are better for the more "limited" budget (read: skint over indulgent student) so I'm waiting for him to get one in.

Cost of searider A frame?

The guy selling it on ebay reckons this frame is worth 2300 quid - is he mad?

Yup. Insurance company paid for a new one on Old Spice, having taken it to the most expensive yard in Chichester I could find they quote the insurance £1600 for a tailor made A frame.

I think his starting price is a bit much too.

Are you sure you really want that lot on a nice Avon ? have a chat to rogue about large frames and how much they slow a boat down. You might want to ask yourself why he has taken off ?
