Of course a trip to any of the Top British Makers would show you how it's meant to be done
The jury is still out on my Chinese 'Absolute Shite'. She's now 4 years old, been used in some hefty seas, on some pretty long runs and with both light and heavy loads and there is no Maiden Voyage issues.

Will there be in 5 years time? Who knows but until there is she's still going well and most peole that see and travel with or on here like the shape, build and ride.

He might - IIRC they are the same in character anyway. Fiendishly difficult in any case..

We all have different standards....but I'm genuinely pleased yours at least have been met!.. and you're happy....so far

Jury!!?? ....not even an optional extra in Communist China
Most buyers of Chinese RIBs I've met have been first time and or Novice Boaters....Wonder what the Brand loyalty is like?....and if many re-purchase?...or learn and move on to other makers?....
Budget is not always (or indeed often) the long term best investment IMO
Especially when yours and probably you're Family's safety is on the line...
The Acid test might just be you're future choices and will be most illuminating

I might put an X-Pro into the "European marketed" category? The general opinion seems to be that improves the quality.

I've yet to hear a bad word said for X-Pro. The dealer seems to flip around a lot. Moving dealer may affect loyalty as we do see people recommending local dealers for engines for ease...

Well, it was interesting learned a lot by going there. Basically all of the components are made somewhere else and they do assembly as well as making and gluing the tubes.

There are about a dozen different companies all within a few miles of each other. So most of these Chinese rib companies are using the exact same parts the only difference is the person who puts it together.

No different really to a similar small start up in the uk in the seventies ,quite simple really ,we have a glue pot and a pair of scissors ,we can make some rib tubes !!!
its amazing really ,poor country ,low wages i guess, and enough Hypalon offcuts laying around to make a living on ebay in the uk for a year , you can guess by looking that all thats laying around has little or no value ,maybe thats the real difference.
