VHF Course around Belfast

Hi

Want to venture a bit further afield and want a VHF as backup. Struggling to find anyone to do a course this time of year around the Belfast area.

Any pointers would be great. Tried emailing the top 10 or so on the RYA list.

Cheers

Aaron

Yes - Charles Stewart. If you are emailing Charles, he may be a day or two replying to you. This is because his other (also exciting) work takes him away from computers for several days at a time. However, he is very reliable and organised once you make contact - a top bloke

Cant be bothered driving to Redbay for a VHF course. May end up there but was hoping some yacht club or other may be running one although I guess its mainly a winter thing.

(Did the PB2 course with Charles in April and he runs a classy operation)

an oxymoron!

Seriously the drive up to Redbay is a pain and to be avoided 3 hour round trip for me. If you have a spin in a nice boat at the other end its OK but to sit working radios...

Believe me if Charles has a course running - jump at it. The vast majority of training centres in NI, my own included, do not run any VHF courses at this time of the year
