Paid the Theodore Roosevelt a visit in 2009 and the Armed Guard walked around the bow keeping an eye on what we were up to. Enlarged the picture clearly sees him holding a Gun 
A couple of mins later the MOD Police boat started heading towards us, it was time to say good bye

Official info--Weighing in at 97,000 tonnes, USS HW Bush carries over 70 aircraft and 6,000 plus sailors and aircrew. The warship has been involved with Exercise "Saxon Warrior", one of the largest war games hosted by the Royal Navy in recent years in UK, along-side other NATO forces including the RAF and British Army.
Due to her size she is too large to enter Portsmouth Harbour and will instead be laying anchor off Stokes Bay in the Solent until next Tuesday morning.
There is an exclusion zone in force of 250 metres whilst the vessel is at anchor with further information issued in a notice to mariners from Queen's Harbour Master, Portsmouth:
Also interesting there is a Solent charity swim this Sunday morning(weather permitting) from Stokes Bay to Ryde- RIBs as safety boats, that will be interesting

I was out Friday night, took photos. When I got home I zoomed them in and saw in 3 cases men with very large guns targeting us. The police boats seemed relaxed.

We made it too yesterday .... but it was a long trip there from Poole with a Force 6 westerly behind us all the way and an even longer trip back into it - with a stop off at Hengistbury Head to tow some a friend's Rib off a lee shore where he was stuck! (No pictures of that, unfortunately!)

In my profession as tanker shipbroker, i know the owner of the ship pretty well. the owner of the ship (german company called GEFO) is really interested in a higher res picture of their vessel and/or any others you may have. These slop/waste disposal contracts with the US Navy/NATO along the english coast are very special contracts for them and more exception than rule for the usual business of these ships (we use them regularly for transportation of biodiesel on the european continent). Would you be willing to share that with them?

I would have thought the RN and the Yanks would bricking it if a "Gofast" poled up. They have proven documentary evidence that they are indestructable and even when boarded and chopped up with an axe they take a while to sink. A Ribnet rib would be a mere trifle!
