Cheer up you cranky old git - lack of nearby "National Gatherings" is the downside of not having 274 immediate neighbours.

I get this. I'm frequently invited to "local" meetings, none of which are convened north of a line drawn straight through the center of this island. I can live with it, 'cos for the rest of the time, I don't see the sods

Doesn't say where it is, I'm guessing as it's Piranha then it's Sparkes.

Looks to be at Sparkes Marina, Hayling Island (Chichester Harbour!). Numbers also looks largely
to depend on who brings their old RIB. I'll probably go if they have a good selection. It's a good idea and hope it takes off

I know most of these things are done with the best of intentions, but some turn out to be a bit of a disappointment.
The used boat show at Port Solent for example really is a bit of a joke.

There is a limit to how many used RIBs or other boats a place like Sparkes can accommodate, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out, but overall it’s good to see some proactive thinking and effort put in to arrange it.

Obviously it’s not very far away for those of us on the South Coast to visit, so if I can get down there on the Friday afternoon I’ll let everyone know what it’s like before anyone travels too far over the weekend.

Thanks for all your comments. The show has already gained a strong following through the website and exhibitor take up. New dealers have also been approached this is on the condition that they exhibit an ex demonstrator or PX as well.

Used Rib Show update

We are delighted to announce that the biggest name in marine electronics has not only signed up to exhibit but is now the main sponsor for the Saturday Jazz Night. Raymarine will display their new e7 Hybridtouch display at the show which is perfectly suited to RIBs.
Information on the Raymarine Jazz night can be found on the National Used Rib Show’s website – www.usedribshow.co.uk
Feedback and uptake from the general public has been excellent and we are confident that over 70 used craft will be on display at this show which is free to enter for the general public.
Amongst a range of used and new RIBs you can expect to see safety displays from the RNLI, a range of outboards from Suzuki, RYA taster sessions, GJW Insurance, RIB charter companies and information on RIB finance to make this a show that has everything to get you on the water for Easter.
You can see us on stand D311 at the London Boat Show.
More information will follow shortly but in the meantime if you need any further information please contact the team on 02392 005105 or check out the website at National Used Rib Show

Well, the Best of luck with it! Good concept I imagine if you can Market it properly, certainly works across the pond! Maybe a Boat jumble as well might be an idea.
