update on the 585

Update on the ribcraft 585 after reading all the advice from rib net now looking at getting the 6.4 with a 175 or 200 engine, also change to the colour scheme now looking at black tubes ,black hull ,everything will be black apart from piping on the seats which i am looking at red, and red life lines. Also going to speak to Jason to see if we can get the boat name into the seats , all the advice greatly appreciated , its a lot of money just want to make sure i get it right

thanks

Get powder coated alloy, the stuff on the Atlantics holds up pretty well.

Hi i ahave a yellow hull with all metal black powder coating including the 'A' frame and much as I like it I am afraid that it does chip easy and detracts from the overall image!
Hope this helps.

41.4knts, fully fueled(180ltrs) and 2 up. I think it is academic really as she will be seldom at wot.Torquey, quiet and gets on the plane quickly.
A great boat which,I have nothing but praise for.

I don't think you would be disapointed at all,I looked at a 585 but decided that the 6.4 was the better boat,

Good luck !

I did see the layout, obviously suited to your useage. I have a double console set forward and 4 x single jockey seats leaving a reasonable space for 4 divers.
I wanted a cruiser for 4/6 people and space for occasional diving or skiing etc.

The only bit of alloy that has had the coating wear off has been on the tow bar where the rope has ran across it. Apart from that its been faultless.

Funnily enough we have just placed an order with ribcraft as well after much soul searching, and having sold the old redbay. Went for the exact same colour scheme - black tubes, black hull and even the red piping on the seats! Sticking with a stainless a frame though.

Great minds think alike!
