Tube repair for Ribtec 1000, West of Scotland

I am looking for someone on the west coast of scotland who can carry out the repair of the tubes on our Ribtec 1000.

The tubes on both sides have small holes and perforations through the canvas, mainly through wear and tear.

The tubes all the way round are quite faded and have wear in various places, But mainly the back sections are giving us the trouble.Does anyone have experience of the costs involved in the re-tubing of an 11 meter rib?

Has anyone had sections of the tubes cut out and replaced without having to do the whole lot?

Any help or information of a good company to carry out the work would be great!

If the worn section is limited, then a covering (either hypalon or neoprene) might do the trick for a year or two. However, I think you know that you need a retube. Paul Tiley (Tidel) did a job for Bigmuz7 on here recently (he's from your general area) so maybe ask him - he seemed happy.

Thanks for all the replys guys, i have had a couple of pm's from guys that can carry out the work at our own workshop. Not going down the patching route as i think the tubes are to far gone and we need the boat to get to jobs, aswell as a bit of fun!

What was the price? I you don't mind me asking. Or you could refer to a similar job that somebody in the same situation may be quoted for.

New Ribtec Tubes

Another option would be to get a quote from Craig at RIB's Marine. He provides an excellent service (and he uses our tubes), and the original tubes would have been fitted by us.

Craig Reed sounds ideal & is local to me but the email address & phone don't seem to work does anyone know if he's still in business or know of anyone else in the ayreshire / Glasgow area?
cheers
