Tube Lettering

I'm considering putting some lettering on my tubes. Don't know what yet but I'd like some advice off those that have done it to see if its viable. (I'm a bit skeptical about the sticking properties).
Has anyone fitted the lettering and found it to be wear resistant. In particular I like to scrub my tubes with TFR2 and a large nail type brush, after a day out, Yellow gets grimy very quickly, Will the lettering get ripped up when I do this ?

I'd be more worried about getting the lettering off without leaving marks if I wanted to sell it at a later date

Vinyl lettering doesn't last too long; the adhesive is not really up to the task, and the vinyl doesn't stretch as much as hypalon, so the lettering cracks and rumples.

Hypalon cutouts are the way to go, but they're pretty permanent.

Nick.

Put the lettering on a hypalon backing plate like a name plate, then you can remove the plate at a later date. the way you look after your boats I doubt that the UV will be any differnt when you take the name plates off.

Give Roguetta a call and give her a file with your lettering and she can cut the Vynil and show you how to put it on. We also have loads of different large new patches of hypalon.

I should imagine she'll do it as a freebie, I'll ask her on the Sat phone tonight

Stu,

Good idea. Its just something I'm toying with at the moment so not sure of what to put on yet.
I did like the writing you had on your Scorpion, both the Hull and tubes and it inspired me to do something myself. It certainly stands out in pictures that folks take.
I'll get back to you when I've got something to go firm with.

Regards Nick.
