Tube fitting

We have just been let down by someone who was going to fit a set of tubes to a new 6.5M RIB - just so typical of problems with getting people to do work!

We are now having tubes manufactured in the West country - but plan to have them fitted at our Lymington base, to save time, money and hassle!

If anyone (who I have not thought of) in the Hampshire area is in a position to offer this service please pm me. Probably a few more boats to do in the near future as well.

Many thanks
Adam

Adam,

I'm getting this local women (local to IOW) to help fit my tube on my shakey. I believe she is very good and carries out work for the RNLI. Not sure whether you have considered her but I could PM you her number anyway.

Cheers

Tim

Sounds like who I was going to use - but apparently she cannot do any major jobs now as she has a full time job!

Thanks
Adam

I've just emailed Scott, and from his positive reply I can tell you that he still exists!

Bob and Scott are both possibles - but also very busy and could not fit us in due to other work. Don't want to let my customer down on dates so will probably get the boat down to Dartmouth for fitting. Problem is that it works out to be expensive and means the boat is un-available for any work to be done on it in the meantime. She has to go out on the 16th and will be going to France.

Just a problem when somebody lets you down at the last moment - had only been booked in for about 6 weeks, assumed all was OK and then phoned to arrange details and was told NO!

Thanks
Adam

Now just found out that one of our chandlery suppliers is on a four week delivery time - due to a back-log! Again only found out because I called them to check where my order was.

Not a major problem because we can use one of our other suppliers.

What is wrong with this country!

Moan over and back to work.
