Excellent. Glad you got sorted. If I'd still been in Dorset I would have been bidding against you. I think it would fit under our rear seat or under the floor....

I'm assuming if I buy a 7/8 Kg one of a different design, I wont need additional chain - I can use a rope - right? It is a back up...
You might want to consider your storage options for the anchor before you go and buy one. Jimmy Green Marine have quite a few anchors on their site along with associated dimensions.

I'd try and keep at least some chain with it rather than going all rope.

Hi there, Recently had a month in Nz, mid march to mid April.

Had a lovely time, diving in the bay of islands area from paihai, kayacking in the Abel Tasman and snorkelling from Kaikoura. Wish I could have taken my RIB but it would have been a mega tow!

However, what I was really going to say was you operate some fascinating outboard powered boats there, the water taxi craft in Abel tasmin are great very practical Alu workboats and the dive boats had twin 300 yams on.

Did you take your rib from the U.K.?

The weather was just so good particularly coming from the uk in March.

Cheers dave

Sorry davej, I missed this coming in.

There are some great boats here and as you say some nice aluminium fishing/recreational boats. I'd like a large Stabicraft if I ever had the budget...plus we are the home of Sealegs (who if you check have a large investment in a lot of other rib builders internationally).

We bought the Gemini here last year after owning a small 3.4m rib for 10years (been here since 2007).
