Trim tabs can interfer with auxilliary outboard?

Hi
Waiting my new rib to come.
New outboard already waiting as well as trim tabs ( kept new since bought 4 years ago for other boat-Nauticus trim tabs).

Willing to get me also a kicker motor for emergency.
Question arises whether small auxilliary will reach trim tabs when in full tilt down position? Assuming mounting both at same line.
Will mounting the auxiliarry outboard to transom directly can reach trim tabs? Must get a bracket that will get outboard more to the back to keep distance from trim tabs?

I am aware my boat couln be different from other ribs but asking generally about your experience with your ribs if had some issues.
Pictures will be welcomed.
Thanks

why are you wanting to fit trim tabs when you have never even had the boat out on the water . like taking medicine before you get ill

This wasnot my question, but anyway trim tabs should most of the cases give benefit to the boat performance (plaining time, decreasing minimal speed to reach plaining, less bumpy ride and better fuel consumption) so it is good thing i believe!
Second thing, i would study my boat performance at first few times without having trim tabs fitted, then have them on- but this trims fitting delay is only because i am curious to see both situations and learn more out of that!

Back to my first question[emoji6]

Some boats have plenty of space for aux + tabs. Some don't. It would be unusual to 'need' tabs on a boat the size you are looking at.

Are trim tabs abundant in uk at all or more in usa as i notice the origin of most manufacturers?

Why do you think 5.2 m rib would be unusual getting trim tabs? I think many boats this size get it. Seen even Ribs smaller than 5 have them and even small sibs
Actually, i ithink trims would be more critical to small 5 RIB than larger ribs specially the common light bow such as case for example with bombard..so trims would be expected to release you from need putting console and other weights as forward as possible..anyway i am talking out of basic knowledge and common sense and not from experience..

Following previous post:
Trims come in sizes to fit boat size accordingly.
My boat width is actually large: beam about 230cm so it can have trims and auxilluary outboard not exactly one above the other, but my question actually about cases where outboard have to be exactly above trims but still seems as not touching them! What would be explanation here? Bracket putting outboard more distant from transom and hence away from trim tabs tips?

You do see them on bigger ribs, particularly when the port/starboard balance might need help. (High windage, uneven loads side to side)
I don't think I've ever seen them on a 5m rib, although I am sure some people do use them.

Back to my wondering how much is this thing abundant in your area and how do people look at trim tabs.. Probably it is less abundant in your area than usa and more on large boats and less for sport.. i dont know...
See clip on 13 feet boat..
https://youtu.be/zze9u5mUQ9A

There are many exampled..maybe not in your area. Dont know

Americans tend to sit on a large bench at the stern which increases the need for tabs...

Doel fins? Dont recognize this term. I mean trim tabs/smart tabs and not hydrofoil if that what you mean.

I have trim tabs on my 5.45. I use them all the time. They help a lot in the rough stuff.

In the rough?
With motor or mechanical? Any pictures? Where located relatively to kicker outboard?

+1
I run Merc K-Plane tabs and there great for controlling the bow when running into a head sea ( you can also amongst other things plane at lower speeds and balance a unevenly loaded boat).
Makes interesting reading

I run a 4 blade prop on my DF140 & get a fair bit of "port tilt" especially when coming off waves in a head sea. The tabs allow me to just dial it out & keep her flat. Even more so if the sea is on the Stbd bow. It's the old classic, you don't know you need it until you get it, & you'd miss it if it was gone.

Sounds good
I already purchased the classic one few years ago so it is encouraging to know they gonna be useful..even without motor inside trim valve and without ability to adapt them while running.

Question is if trims would cause bow digging after crossing wave at following sea! Or trimming up outboard/or play with speed would still get you through wave well.

In a following sea you need the tabs retracted & the engine trimmed up or you risk a serious stuffing
