Trim Tabs

My 6 metre Ribeye will be arriving in April and wondering whether to fit trim tabs. Do many of the 5.5 - 6.5 mt. owners fit them and if so hydraulic or electric?

I have a Ribcraft 6.8 and fitted Lenco Hyraulics ....they have the effect of lengthening the Hull..and in Certain Sea conditions can really nail the Nose down, they also help level the ride in a Bad Beam Sea.
If you want to maximise the performance particularly in the Rough Stuff IME ..they are a nice addition.

I understood that Lenco were electric, not hydraulic?

I’ve run tabs on a few boats inc my current rib, as already posted they increase the planing surface of the hull, you’ll plane at a lower speed with less motor effort. The ability to drop the nose down in a head sea is also great, tabs are a worthy addition to a rib.
