Treatment Hull inside

Anyone knows what the best treat product is for inside the hull? Yesterday I get the below deck fuel tank out and I want to treat the place. thanks

edit: the reason I ask, is simple. I have an aluminium fuel tank that leaks in a corner, so the lowerpart of the tankspace is full of fuel smell.

Bucket of hot soapy water and some washing powder is probably going to be effective as anything.
