Transom Damage with Ringo

Hi all,

I'm after another bit of advice if possible. I own a Valiant D380 with a 30hp on the back. This is already 5hp over the rated 25hp (insurance are happy), but within 4kg's of the weight limit.

I am hoping to get a ringo to use behind the boat (and test the dry suit) but dont want to get one if its going to add too much weight to the transom.

Anyone know if the boat will take this or is it best to avoid.

Many thanks

Matt.

We used to tow a ringo with an avon 3.4 and a 25hp yam. Never damaged the transom at all...

Super, am thinking it would'nt damage it but have heard somone saying it caused problems, but maybe their transom was on the way out anyway. Would be ashame to miss out on the amount of laughs we are bound to get. Mind you, with the cold weather approaching not sure how long the hands will last holding on.

Super, will try and find some. My main concern was if it would damage the transom due to the engine being almost at the transom weight limit.
