Reports state they were wearing life jackets when last seen. Maybe discarded to try and reach flares/vhf in the upturned boat. But whatever happened the RNLI have lost an experienced coxswain and helmsman from the same crew.

Two simultaneous enquiries ongoing.

The reports say they were out inspecting or laying moorings.
Thats not a job without an element of risk or danger, having done a few with my father in-law.

Nice to see the respect from all you guys .

There is a great sadness in the RNLI these were very respected people a tragic accident.
