What colour polo shirt do the marshalls have? We do not get ours till Friday evening by which time it will be too late to go to an outlet store - cheapskate here!

Sort of electric/peacock blue with loads of white writing on the back and embroidered logo on the front.
The jackets are navy blue and also covered in writing and embroidery. Not so hard to match. Don't know about the hats as the were sent back because the quality was not good enough and will not be issued til the 27th (ish)

Morning all!

For a whole host of reasons I've had to pull out of the Fleet Review but I can still do the Sat / Sun for the Festival of the Sea.

Is anybody else doing this and if so do they have any details??

I've tried to email Richard S but got no response.

Chris

I had to decline the offer of the marshalling of the actual review, but offered my services before and after, but was declined.

Richard does reply, just slowly. Probably because of all the running around for the briefings.

You are still on the list as at yesterday. I am sure nobody would mind if you forewent you day of leisure and moment of glory to do some work.

Mark,

I got an email from Richard this morning saying I have expunged.. not quite sure what that is, but it sounds painful and is probably not good news.

I might just sneek into the gold area afterwards to check the scar.

Enjoy the day.

Water Taxi - Cowes - Cowes East

Hello....

I've just booked a water taxi to take myself plus 3 crew from Cowes Town Quay to East Cowes Marina at 07:40 on the Monday and 07:10 on the Tuesday.

They have some spare seats so let me know if anyone wants one! Usual taxi fee!

Now we are getting the domestic details over with regarding shirt colours......

are there any plans (I know forward planning and RIBnet are not always easy bedfellows) to meet:

either Fri evening in Southampton after the briefing?
Sat evening after the afternoon session?
Mon afternoon / evening after the rehearsal?

or are we all going to make it us as we go along and therefore probably all miss each other.....

.... well I suppose that is better than hitting

If there are plans - when and where would be helpful.....

I still do not have a full idea of which ribnetters will be out on these days as marshalls or otherwise

(all the above does assume that someone somewhere on RIBnet still drinks beer, and that they are still social animaux)...

We're up for socialising Bruce, and Richard was drinking beer (well, lager) last time I looked!

We're staying in Southampton but don't mind popping in at Cowes as several RIbnetters are staying there I believe.

Don't really know where would be good to go in Southampton on Friday - anyone got any ideas? Maybe the pub at Shamrock Quay? Or somewhere in Ocean Village or Town Quay?
