Depends what you want, I bought two Connelly Spin Out ringos from WaterWorld in Fareham (cheapest covered ring you'll find) and had a great time with them over the last couple of weekends.

www.justwatersports.com are always worth a look as well. Lesley is superbly knowledgeable and their service is top drawer!

I would say so… got a rin-go last year and have been towing my son and his mates about with it a fair bit. Still looks brand new. And it is hardly looked after. The only thing is get the proper tow line as these help take some of the shock loading when you start.
Oh and rig a bridle up on the transom.

Depends which one. DON'T get the cheap green and white one as there is no cover, you pull the vinyl ring directly, a recipe for disaster. Make sure whatever you buy you pull a heavy duty cover

Word of warning on towing toys

You probably already know this but...
You normally need additional third party insurance for toys beyond what would cover you for skis and wakeboard.
Toys can be dangerous because drivers go too fast and get too close to obsticals (buoys, pontoons other boats etc.).
Boats is heading towards a fixed object, boat turns to avoid object, toy and passenger are hurled into the object like a slingshot.
If you keep away from danger they are great fun

Most insurance policies only cover a maximum of 2 people in a tow toy - so that seadoo would wouldn't be covered if 3 were in it.
I've just bought a Jobe Monza ringo (1 or 2 people) from www.justwatersports.com
Trying it for first time this weekend - qulaity looks really good and comes with correct line. Will let you know hoe we get on. Rings with air chamber in bottom are better as there is less drag and they don't tend to dive as much. Also get one with a drain hole in bottom.

Quite we got one with the nylon cover… god only knows how the tube can take the pulling strain with out this… there is quite some drag on these things to get them going.

There is normally a recommended max speed for towing seam to remember it is about 17-20mph for the one we have and seams plenty for the guys getting towed.

Common mistake I'm told is people use ski rope for towing toys. Ski rope generally 75' long. Towing toy rope should be about 50' long. Even at 50' long when you turn if you are doing 20mph the guy on the ringo is doing 40mph. If you use the ski rope 75' then the guy in the ring is doing 60mph! Very dangerous. If you must use your ski rope make sure it is shortened to a sensible length.

Awesome toy - U-Tube

We used the U-Tube, it as worth every penny, very manouverable, steerable by leaning and the riders felt very in control. Superb toy.

Bought it from here on recommendation:-

Superb, major thumbs up all round from those laughing in the boat to those riding it.

The Kite Tube has been recalled by the manufacturer, due to several deaths and scores of injuries. Which, of course, got a bunch of thrill seeking morons to immediately go on-line looking to buy one.
