Like I said the smaller engine was the best option hence vw dropping the 2.5 option

I tow with a 1.9 TDI 105 bhp Octavia 4x4. With 1.5 tons on the back it is fine up to about 50 mph but you've got to keep the revs up around 3000 if you want to tow at 60.

I think the 105 brake van will be find around the houses as I expect it will be geared right down but I wouldn't want to tow on the open road very far, especially with the vans aerodynamics. You can't escape the lack of bhp on long A road hills.

that's the 2.5 engine that has the waterpump problem the big hp 1.9 & 2.0 engines are bulletproof
