I tried to save some bits off my old SR steering but gave up trying to mix and match parts and just bought a new system.
A few people on here mentioned that it was worth doing rather than trying to replace the helm unit if it failed in a years time.

I'm hoping to order a second single seat when funds permit, as long as I have a good comfortable seat that's all that matters, the other passengers will just have to wait
I've got the same console, the only downside to it was the curved front, apart from that its brilliant for how much it was.
Did you glass it in your self as the XS ones don't have a flange?

Tornado Update

Just back from a 4hr trip on my nearly finished RIB, having slight engine problems at low revs, I have been told its a blocked idle jet, so will have a go at clearing it over the week, She rids very nice and went surfing in about 15/20ft swell off roaches point yesterday, I got my fiancée to take a few pics when we got back for ye! (the good news is she loves the new boat)
so all going well I will have all the electrics done tomorrow, Bring on the summer!!

Another update, after countless more hours working on the boat I have got the whole thing rewired, search lights/nav lights/ bildge pumps/ LED floor level lights are just some of the new electrics added, I also built myself a nice little single jockey seat for herself that has under seat storage for the fuel tank and allows the whole thing to be removed in a matter of seconds if the room is needed, I built in the drivers backrest into the jockey seat to make life easier and hope to fit two backrests and my new drivers cushion soon. I also cleaned up the cables.

But all the work paid off, last week I made a nice 24nm trip from crosshaven to Ballycotten in glass like conditions, and yesterday made a trip to Kinsale, again around the 28nm round trip.

Sorry about the quality of the pics as they where taken on my phone.
