Tornado 3.6

Has anyone had any experience with a Tornado 3.6 meter rib. Looks like it was a Uk built boat but wondered what it rides like as looks like its not a deep v.
Was the tubes PU or hypalon ?

If it’s the one on eBay It’s an old tornado uk made, maybe 1991 from the s/n, the tubes look newer than the boat, the console isn’t tornado, the hull isn’t very deep. I think this model was made as a safety boat for sailing clubs, never been on one so not sure how it rides

Thanks for the info JimRib, yes its the one on e bay, looks like a good condition package for a small boat with plenty of go.
I'm thinking of a small rib so I can park it on a driveway in Devon with no storage costs but if its going to slap in any chop it will be a hard ride.
Any ideas on the avon 340 rib with a reasonable size engine.

Yep I know, just want something I can use with a bit of chop rather than waiting for flat calm days

So your choices are:

- buy something much bigger
- buy this and learn how to drive it to the conditions (if it’s got PTT on the engine it shouldn’t be too bad)
- buy something a bit bigger but still learn how to drive it in tough conditions...
-buy something about this size or a wee bit bigger and put a suspension seat on it costing four figures and drive it badly!

The suspension seat option looks the best.
