Front with twin CREE XLamp MC-E 10watt LEDs giving out 860 lumens each . Size of unit is 4.8" Long, 2.5" High, 3.5" Deep, nicely made in solid Aluminium and stainless steel. I chose Flood beam lighting 120' Long x 100' Wide compared to the other option of the Spot @ 375' Long x 70' Wide

Great torch that I was very tempted to buy one a few months ago.

You are speaking to the right person regarding torches, I have a great collection and by the way your choice of the Fenix make is Spot on for quality and performance. I have Fenix LD22 a TK40 and the latest update the TK41 chosen because they take 8 AA batteries each and I use extra power Duracell rechargeable and a 15 minute charger.

I have also got a huge HID torch, brghter than a headlamp and capable of frying an egg on the lens, if you left it on in your car it would set it on fire it gets so hot, if you hold a match to it it lights it truly dangerous!l Will post a picture of it tomorrow

Stainless steel tube 8mm diameter 1mm thick arrived today ready to be glassed into the hull for the Lumishore light cable, the light cable is 5mm so this leaves room for the cable to be Sikaflexed through the tube, I have a deck gland for making a tidy and waterproof seal on the inside of the hull, outside the light unit seals the hull

Just sorting out the camera equipment for the boat, I have a Contour GPS system but don't really like it, you can't view images/film on the unit, like GoPro I think they are just a fad, useful in some circumstances but a waste of time in others, although you can get the bolt on screen for the GP.

So I decided on a Delkin Fat Gecko camera mount: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0023ZK2T...hvptwo=&hvqmt= and a Nikon Coolpix AW100, this is a totally waterproof camera with inbuilt GPS, it can also be used with eyefi SD cards sending instant photos via wifi to your smart phone and onwards. I have bought both units in black to keep in keeping with the styling I have chosen, here they are (the lanyard and case will be removed when on the boat)m Lovely screen, 16 Megapixel CMOS sensor, waterproof to 10mtrs and records in 1080p stereo HD movie

Hope you're planning on using something more secure than a RAM Mount sucker. That sucker wouldn't suck itself down on anything on a RIB says the voice of experience with the gadget dents and scratches to prove it

Errr, ok. Whatever you say.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not worried

At least that camera will blend in nicely

I dont think go pro are really a fad as you mention. They have been around for a few years now and seem to be growing. They provide some excellent shots in some tight spaces. For instance, the end of my waterski's, go karting, the horse and they dont take up any room at all really. I think the size of the go pro is what will keep it going. Just wish all the accessories were cheaper

I don't disagree at all as I mentioned they have their use, same as the Contour, just some are used where perhaps other options could be used.
