I don't think the cross channel RIB event took place 15/16 Sept.
We did just about make it in the Pride of Bristol! - The weather was very bad going down the Bristol Chanel towards Lands End. This part of the voyage we made on Friday night and although the wind had died down the swell was very bad - best diet I've been on for a long time
In fact it was so bad and because it was dark we could not see the swell coming that it was felt that it would be safer to shelter behind Lundy Island for a few hours and daybreak. (The ship can roll upto 33 degrees safely - and I'm sure it was doing more than that!)
Anyway we did make it to Cherberg by the Sunday morning and stayed there until Thursday when we returned via Falmouth and St Ives.
