I must have missed this due to being so grief stricken at the time...

No is the answer the Hobby never happened either, with hindsight I am quite glad as I think the whole "Pikey" factor was not something I was fully up to speed on at the time.

Am still toying with the idea of a caravan however cant work out how to tow the 7.0meter behind it

Easy, peasy, Hugh Jardon had it off to a tee. You tow the caravan 250m to the site and then go back again for the boat.

Don't stress it too much Chris,looks like I (we) will soon have the use of a nice 5 berth overlooking the sea at Rock... Just tow and GO!!
