This Sunday

Hello all

My Ocean is now ready to go back in the water for the first time since some initial issues with the Suzuki 200 I fitted, and family commitments/holidays putting the project on hold.

Trouble is I'm going to be completly on my own this Sunday with no help for launching or recovery, and I'm a little nervous about tearing out into the Solent with an unproven engine without another boat around to tow me back if it all goes wrong.

Is anyone going to be about early on Sunday that fancies lending a hand, or can cover me for a while whilst I set up and test the engine?
Obviously there's a pint or two in it. I can even launch somewhere other than my normal Hayling Island Ferry Inn slip if need be. Just don't take any notice of how dirty it is, as I've not cleaned it yet.

It runs sweet as anything now connected up to the hose with plenty of water pressure. Im hopefully just being over cautious.

Nasher.

Chichester

I know it is a lot further away, but if it helps I'll be around Chichester all weekend, there are a couple of good slipways which I don't mind helping you launch at.

If that is any good to you let me know.

Thanks for the kind offer Nauti Buoy, I've never launched in Chichester. I'll let you know if I come over.

Its not really the launching and recovery that bothers me, I do that on my own when I just have my kids with me, although its very hard work and they do stay with the boat whilst I park the car and trailer etc.

Its about not having another boat around first proper time out with the new engine.

As I said I'm probably worrying for nothing, however some company would be nice, even if it was just somebody along for the ride who could help out if it conks out.

I guess if more people used DSC, then the group MMSI no would be useful?

Mark Halliday and myself will be launching from Northney marina Hayling Island at around 10:30 - 11:00 am tomorrow if anyone wants to join in.

Plenty of room in my boat if somebody just fancies coming along for the ride.
