Is Seven Boats a known scam then? If so, I shall have to get them a bit better known on the Internet, nothing comes up under either their registered or trading name, when searching for fraud, scams etc.

They have a boat that I wanted to buy, but I didn't like that they are not trading under the name they are registered with at Companies House, or that they have not been trading long enough to submit accounts and their company return is overdue. Also website registered in Spain, company director a plastic surgeon in France, registered office not findable on Google Maps..... and I can afford boats there that I could not get on Ebay for that price.

I have mailed them to say I will buy now but need to pay by credit card, as I am sure they understand that there are many naughty people on the Internet and I need the credit card insurance cover .... let's see if they reply

Off to report them to Companies House and the internet powers that be. Funnily enough, the grammar in their email back to me deteriorated markedly when I started discussing difficult topics like payment protection.

It's worrying that nothing comes up in Google when looking for "seven boats scam". Will try to remedy that.

Yet another scam so I thought I'd run with I a little. Imagine my surprise when the scammer got suspicious and thought I was trying to scam him, a scammer !!!

I don`t know why this sounds like a scam ....

I don`t know about what you are talking about, I told you the price is £9,750 , If you want it delivered in Malta I will have to talk with the shipping agency to see how much will cost the delivery I can give you an answer right now.

I work only through via eBay !! I have requested personal support and I was approved to use Buyer Protection Program. Here is how the process works through the Buyer Protection Program:

- I make the private listing on eBay for you,
- you go and buy it through their website,
- you have to pay for the item to eBay to secure the funds,
- they confirm me that they received the funds,
- I deliver the boat,
- you receive the boat,
- they send me the money,

It certainly makes you wonder how anyone ever manages to buy a f~$%ing second hand boat. Other than through rib.net obviously. And that appears to involve a mandatory trip to Devon.

Got the boat bug 30 odd years ago & got back into it @3 years ago to teach the kids/wife how to waterskifish etc & there's no Ullswater/Windermere to take them to & you get ripped off by crooks/scammers & dealers when you get going...... P*%$£s me right off !!!
