There and Back again - A trip by Orwell Boy and Bigplumbs

Myself and Orwell Boy have been out a few times this year and we have been going further and further.

As the weather was nice yesterday (19th October 2018) we decided to go out in Orwell Boys Rib from Levington Marina on the Orwell to Brightlingsea.

I made this little video of our trip

Sorry to say but that was almost the most boring video ever.
Ideal for brag book i would think. Where was the excitement.

Did an oil n filter change after 2 mins and was still going on and on by the time I returned!

Must try harder)

I wouldn't hold your breath for the penny to drop - the comprehension and spelling on here is atrocious. I wondered about the name... lead weights? Bricklayer?

Probably a fruit farmer, market trader, or maybe a gigolo

No not a bricklayer. I am a Chartered Surveyor.

My other Hobby is flying RC Jets and warbirds. It is a reference to lead in them to balance them. Yes it is from Plumbum which I am sure you will know is Latin for lead

TBH I didn’t think it was that bad, overhead footage of the boat on the plane is always good

The entrance to Harwich harbour gets nasty on an ebb tide in swell, dad and I (rip) spent time in and around these waters so was nice to see again, flaties to be had on the ridge opposite the transit

Good to see Walton again, reminded me of a few recent trips and childhood boat trips. Can also vouch for the waters around Harwich quite lumpy in a 3.2m sib a few years back!

Well tbh ,intentions were good ,it takes a while to sort a short film from a couple of hours of the trip ,and yes it did turn out a little un eventful (boring if you prefer ) however it is nice to know that it brought back a few memories for some of the east coast boaters of past times , it is not the most photogenic coast thats for sure however maybe it will prove helpful for somebody who wants to venture this way in the future ,the port of Felixstowe is a sight to see on its own with the massive container vessels in and out all day every day , and if nothing else it is a very quiet place to do your boating and the only other rib we saw all day was the police launch in Brightlingsea

Hi. It was your video of your day out on your rib and that’s the important thing!! Thanks for sharing as I don’t know that part of the country. Editing is a bore and the more you do the better you will feel. Keep on enjoying your self. Cheers J
