a little low in the water for me, look at the pic of the boat at speed, over a 1/3rd of it still in the water, my opinion

Opinion's welcome thanks, Please bear in mind the speed of the boat when the pictures were taken was less than 35 knots, also its not really designed to be a fast Rib more for comfort and stability for when the conditions are not so good. However it does achieve over 60 Knots with 5 people and 500 litres of fuel.

i wasn't knocking, i was thinking of drag on the tubes, putting bigger and bigger engines on boats without altering there displacement will do that, easy to fix with a wedge in the mould to alter the height of the tubes, that pic at 35knts shows where the wedge should start

does look very low in the water or those engines are way overweight for the design of the hull

Lucky you.

We never got to see the 'plug' used in the development of their Outhill lookalike console.

No, but the Ribquest guy (Ribmech) stated on here that their console was developed 'in-house'

In an earlier post, you (ribmech) signed off as 'Dave Rose'

The seat and console in question are similar in design to the outhill seat and console. The seat base was drawn and a wooden plug was built to create the mould this is documented in our files with photos etc, whilst similar in appearance to the outhill seat if you were to put the two together it would be obvious to see the difference as every dimension and shape are completely different.
The same can be said for the console there is not a section or dimension that is the same as an outhill console.

The console is 30mm narrower, 10mm higher, 10mm smaller front - back.
Both forward panels are a different shape and the instrument panel is also different in that it is inset and curved, there maybe other manufacturers that have taken direct copies but Ribquest is not one of them.

Regarding quality and build finish, we will let our 5 YEAR WARRANTY speak for itself.....

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COME AND TEST THE 3 BOATS WE WILL BE EXHIBITING AT RIBEX 09

Dave Rose

What's all that about, then?

Ribquest

I don't know anything about anyone's identity, but I do know Outhill consoles I had a good look over a Ribquest boat at the Southampton show in '08 I think it was, and I the console I saw had fundamental differences to the Outhill console. For what it is worth, the console also appeared better fabricated, and the whole boat looked rather tidy
There, does that get me a free spin in one of your boats at Ribex Mr. Ribquest (whoever you might be?)
