"Contender" was an amazing looking boat in those days and ran Chris Kaye's "K" surface drive.

Regards

Mark

Ah, what sweet fond times. FYI. the rib ion the right is the one that we crossed the North Atlantic in 21 days via Greenland back in 1997. 7.4 Ribtec powered by a single Yamaha 370 Diesel. No spare engine no chart plotter. Real boys own stuff.
Bring back the small boats, thats what I say. Mind you, wait untill you see my new boat we are building to have another go at Around the world. That will take a lot of pumping up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll need plenty of puff. Looks like the trumpet blowing practice may be useful after all!

the great british rib rally

Great thread....

Not sure about the whole BIBOA debate, new to me, but the event sounds superb and plenty of time to organise and save for...I followed the RB08 with interest and was so envious of the all the teams involved.

I'm certainly interested in being involved and will obvioulsy have to look into BIBOA in a little more detail..
