Speak to Dean or Charlotte at the new Thames Rib Experience.
Really nice couple with a pair of new 11m Ribcrafts.

Or why not do one yourself. Am planning on taking our rib up to do the Thames before the speed limit is imposed.

Will put up a thread with a date if no-one else beats me to it. Now that would be a good sight, a Ribnet cruise on the Thames ......

We did this one

Hi
Seeing the speed limit was on the way - and conditions were too poor to get to the channel Islands etc we did a trip from Soton to Putney and back. August.
Took us 5 days to get there and 1.5 days to get back.
Spent 3 nights in Ramsgate just waiting fro the storms to die out.

Going past the north kent flats, past the swale and on past Sheppy and the Montgomery wreck to Medway and on up past thanet etc was majical.
We rang through to the Met police - to 'register' our presence as we did'nt want to get stopped outside parliment! The tides (by chance) were great we had high water Putney at 14.00. So after lunch at Putney we ran down with the ebb back to Ramsgate with the wind and tide with us (for once) 3 hours 95Nm.

Easement areas - allegegly unwritten slow down areas, no way.

We were going to make Eastborne that evening but a strengthening SW made Goodwin sands area hard work - so turned back for another night in Ramsgate! Cant critise the place - nothing but being helpfull etc.

Funny this bit - we stopped at Chichester for sun/sand and a swim and then encountered the very worst conditions with strong SW wind and ebbing tide over the chichester bar.

Good trip - I should mention (befoire someone else does) a quick (involentary) swim in Shoreham Sea lock,
at that point I knew why I had ordered a boarding ladder -deployable from the water!!

Cheers Paul

Thanks guys.

I'm helping a friend out who wants to do the RIB ride with 11 colleagues during a day of other stuff they are doing in London.

If one of you guys with a 12 passenger seat RIB wants a couple of hours work in central London let me know.

Charlie and Charlie who run London RIB voyages are also very friendly chaps. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to quote for the job with one of their 12+2 Quninquri boats PM me if you want their number.

Wonder how much ££ ?? roughly

Have to recommend Thames Rib Experiences!!

They have a great attitude and some very nice new boats. Plus they do support community events on the Thames so you really can't go wrong with them.

I'll happily put you in touch.

Some other RIB operators are considered responsible for the proposed speed limit by some.

That said I will be arranging my yearly RibNet Thames Cruise very soon if you want to do it on your own boat. Keep your eyes on "upcoming rib cruises"

Hey Nasher,

We could help but would suggest Thames Rib Experence all the way. Have worked with Dean all through the choice of boats, build and set up. As CJL said right people right attitude, having meet some of the others, I can't say the same! Like CJL happy to introduce you to them Nasher, you have the number.

Dean was going to go for the 9m Ribcraft, same as ours but sadley did not fit the V berths as well as the bigger boats.

Nice to see you in Ramsgate over the summer Paul, shame about the weather!

Hi.

I've passed on the details of Thames Rib Experiance and said they come recommended.

The Lady concerned used to work for me in my previous career, the non marine industry one that actually paid well.

She and some colleagues have booked a team building day in London doing various things all arranged by an event management company.
She often still runs stuff by me to see if they stack up, and when I saw the cost of two hours on the river for 12 people I suggested she could do better booking that bit herself.

I've often thought of trying to get into event management myself, and judging by what she would have been charged I think I'll look at it again.

Nasher.
