On the Ally question you could try The Tank Company as they do good alloy Tanks and they will be used to welding this specilist materiel.

I have to go know as Im out on a hard boat that can pull 20 skiers for the tide, about 2 hrs.See ya all later and no falling out as we all should make it as enjoyable as possible for each other.

Its a boating day today,Blue sky,sun is out,no wind/waves for jf and diggi,its a great boating day.

Techno 40, Paul Lemmer and the Truth!

As the owner of Techno 40 I feel I ought to state a few facts regarding Paul Lemmer and his recent voyage in my boat. Firstly I must point out that Mr. Lemmer is an experienced boat operator and does respect other peoples machinery. However on this particular occasion he was not in control of the boat at all and was merely an observing passenger sitting in a rear seat.

Considering Mr. Lemmer is well known in the Rib community and makes a living from boats I think it is incredibly unhelpful for people to state derogatory untruths regarding his seamanship and conduct towards other peoples belongings.

I would conclude by suggesting that unless anyone has any positive comments regarding our highly experienced, knowledgable and helpful friend from the rib world, that they keep their spiteful, untrue and unwelcome comments to themselves.

I would also like to add that the only damage done to this boat (by the people who really drove it who are good friends of mine and crew of Techno 40) was a small chip out of the grp (basically filler). The other damage sustained was two minor old cracks that had a temporary fix that did not hold.

It seems certain people have gone quiet !

As for Paul being "well known in the Rib community" nobody would disagree with that !

I hope to share a beer with him sometime soon

Regards

Mark

I support you on this . I have known Paul for a few years now and recognize him a great ribster. I just dismissed what was written and took as a sick joke.

Techno 40 nice of you to put the record straight.

Thanks for saying this, In recent times this thread has become much more vituperative and lacks the teamwork and camaraderie it once possesed and can regain.

The inevitable conclusion to this progressive decline is that the forum becomes less helpful, less friendly and more importantly less use.

I have been learning about ribs for about 4 years now and owning them for about 3 and I gained most of my facts from this forum and have had some of my most determined arguments but all without bad feeling.

By the way is there two techno 40's on the Itchen nowadays.... Is yours on the pontoons in Saxon Wharf at the moment
