On the whole everyone one we asked to do something were only too happy to comply
but one of my highlights from Tuesday was chasing a 30’ motor boat that ignores my request to leave the restricted zone. It wasn’t that I chased him far, in fact I barely got on the plane, it was that as soon as he saw me coming after him he veered off in the right direction and refused to look at me until he was well behind the line I think the sight of a Pac22 rearing up onto the plane with all the accompanying smoke and spray was enough to put the fear of god into him Des

That little hitler at the harbour entrance that Tony and Pete mention cracked me up, we were doing about 6 knots and he zoomed past (spraying us in the process) and told us to keep our speed down in the harbour!! What a tool.

Well done and thanks to those marshalling - must have been a long day positioned in one place.

And there will be plenty more opportunities to meet the needs of the officious official now that summer's here...

Blowing whistles at School Sports Day...guarding the corgis at the Queen's Garden Party...judging the winning jams at the Garden Fetes...even deciding who has the biggest cucumber at the County Fayre (causes loadsa angst that one )... the list is endless

(BTW Sir Mark H. do we have to bow every time we see you now? )
