Well despite gallant efforts she wasn't coming out so a call went out to Boarhunt the heavy recovery people in well Boarhunt, Fareham. They winched the Pajero out, but needed to apply 7 tonnes of pull, such was the suction of the mud. We would never have managed that.

So Pajero saved to tow another day, well once its washed down.

Biffer, I think the famous Welsh ribnetter involved wished he had known that. Still recovery cost wasn't too bad considering and cheaper than a new truck.

I seemed to have got away with a pair of muddy jeans and shoes and a disco needing a wash.

That mud is something else, bottomless stinking goo which sets to a consistency of concrete. Add some CSM and you could probably make quite an acceptable BWM from it

Presumably he couldn't afford to pay you to keep quiet

trust me after the driver forked out 225 for the winch truck he was quite prepared to beat himself with a shovel and any photographers for that matter.

Funnily enough I was talking to another boat driver earlier that day, and I mentioned to him that if I made tha slightest mistake whils boating I allways semed to get into deep shit. Prophetic or what

Thanks for your help Pete ( and as always your discretion ) I'm so grateful that I've decided to name my first grandchild after you (hopefully that's in the far away future) I think Snitchy Pete hs quite a good ring to it

Biffer that's a generous offer thanks I'll bear it in mind the next time[/I
