Support needed for Spirit of Cardiff with the Gin Palace lot!!

Check out the motor boating forum on www.ybw.com. There have been various threads on SoC over the past months, general bitching, moaning and taking the piss. Well it appears that IPC & some posters to that forum are having a bit of a whip round to raise some much needed cash.

So whats needed are a few Rib.net folks to post there and tell 'em all how worthwhile/important this all is and get 'em to put down their G&T's for a second and dip into their pockets.

url is http://www.ybw.com/cgi-bin/new/forum...=5&o=93&part=2

OK Alan. Bin there, dun that. Used MagellanAlpha as a handle just in case you wanted to check up on me!

That YBY forum is interesting. The quality of the postings on RIBnet are perhaps more erudite. 'But there's plenty of life and enthusiasm in that other world.

Nuff said...

Gin palace lot

Tried to whip up some enthusiasm a while ago when your 10k appeal first went out, with not a lot of success- Mike has done a much better job than me, well done! They were never going to take much notice of me, cos I'm a "raggie" and female.

Just had a look at www.ybw.com. They seem to all be whinging miserable b******s, or maybe it's just my Irish sense of humour!!!

Would like to know what any of them have EVER achieved in their lifetime.

Yeah but if you'd spent all that money on a boat and then found that when you go to sea in anything more than a force 2 the crystal decanter falls off the shelf, tv screen off the wall etc you'd be pissed off too

Gina, I think you just could be right there. Must admit I was a bit disappointed by my brief foray into their territory. Funny lot...
