Summer ribbing footwear?

What's the best footwear for inshore summer ribbing / beach-hopping
I have my boots for winter / cold days, and have worn "heavy duty" Crocs in the summers for the last few years but I'm getting fed up with the soles wearing flat within a season, giving no grip - not ideal especially when launching / recovering.

I don't want to be changing shoes all the time, so I want something that:
1) I can happily get wet / swim in
2) can wear ashore to walk round a beach / town
3) doesn't need socks!
4) has a decent non-slip sole
5) won't wear out quickly

Any recommendations?

I use my Merrell sandals most of the time - they can do all of the above, and have a Vibram sole which is hardwearing and grippy, and are v.comfy.

wet suit boots or wet suit plysoles. My other half has some pink slipper/plysole type shoes she likes.

I've got some reef shoes from the dive shop, only I keep forgetting to take them so end up in bare feet which is fine until I get back to Itchenor and the walk across the stones is a bit uncomfortable.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried my Tevas, but prefer to have some toe protction - fussy aren't I.

What I actually want are Crocs with a decent hard-wearing nonslip sole. Are "Sharks" any good?

Decathalon do a reef type with a covered toe - haven't tried them but may do what you want.

Keen Newport Sandals - nothing better! Vibram sole, super tough, comfortable, supportive, protective and made beautifully. They were invented for this very situation by the boating company owner (apparantly), I spend all summer in mine...

Funnily enough I have something almost identical to Max's except mine are some generic brand and were about £16 from one of those discount sports shops with a wall of trainers. They are perfect for protecting feet from hard bits on the boat or shore yet drain really quickly after you've been in the water.

Like anything though you get what you pay for...(you can usually find Keens' discounted to £60ish) - at that price and the fact you will get at least 5-10 years wear from them it's worth going for the real thing...

I went on boat trip to Jersey 7 years ago, it was so hot when I arrived that I had to get something cooler to wear on my feet. I went into an outdooor camping shop in the High Street and came out with a pair of Karrimor trekking sandals - rubber grippy soles and soft velcro adjustable straps. I have worn them ever since during the summer months and they are still like new. The soles are grippy and are the perfect footwear for me to wear. I also keep them on for swimming ashore and walking up the beach,

Regards

Thanks for the advice, I'd considered tevas, but wanted toe protection - I hadn't seen trekking sandals with a closed / reinfored front bit.

Scooped up by chance a pair of closed toe Merrlil treeking sandals in pre Xmas sale cheap last w/e, so should be ready for next season footwearwise.
