Don't know full details yet but apparently arrests have been made.
Oh and if your insurance company stipulates specific security requirements, make sure you comply or you may as well not have bothered paying the premium.

Damn, that's not good.

Did they recover any of the engines at all?

I think they picked up a couple in transit but the rest are gone.

Penmarlem thefts

Following the series of thefts in Fowey, wadebridge and Helford I can confirm that three Lithuanian Nationals have been arrested by Staffordshire Police on behalf of Devon & Cornwall Police and enquiries remain ongoing.

See attached PBO article.

Have a look at

http://neighbourhoodpolicing.devon-c...rineCrime.aspx

which contains some further marine crime advice.

It is essential that we all remain vigilant. If you see vehicles in suspicios circumstances around marine sites please make a record of the registration marks. The PBO article highlights the advantages of doing so.

We keep a GP14 sailing dinghy on the beach with Nick Bailey at Helford River Boats. He has a largish steel safe store on the back of the beach where he stores small O/Bs. Presumably, it's not safe enough.
