Cameras are a deterrent and they do work, I had cameras fitted on my house 8 years ago and there are now 3 houses on our street with cameras fitted and they do act as a good deterrent as the thieving scrotes have robbed the rest of the houses without them, mainly garden sheds and garages and an elderly couple got robbed while out attending to there garden by a scum bag who just causally walked into there house and stole money and jewellery.

I'm now thinking of upgrading to these smart cameras that you can monitor from your mobile, which I think is the way to go for anyone installing them.

cameras, alarms and locks will only deter the honest thief...out make them pick the boat next to yours if you store it beside others!

if they want what you have they will have it...

Good lighting is a good deterrent , infra red cameras footage can be a bit iffy unless expensive cameras are used.

you now get external alarm PIR sensors watch guard that we have fitted to scrap yards and yards.

Shot gun trip wires - you need to put up signs stating you have them .

Out if Sight is out of mind, so best is having boats stored under cover etc.

Does anybody know where you can buy the removable engine bag for engine?

you only need to get your dvr upgraded to make it iPhone / Mobile compat.

you need to be able open ports on your router to enable remote viewing and static IP address helps...

I do the IT stuff for Blueflash Security ( www.blueflash.co.uk) , infact share building with them !

regards
